Ultrablack Takeover

Ultrablack takeover is a sound installation that artistically questions capitalist time structures through sound. Sound streams and drones wander through the archive, escaping logical constructs. The building authority archive of the town hall of Potsdam usually isn’t accessible and was specifically opened for this art festival. Ultrablack takeover pushes against the hands of the ticking clock, invoking the now, inviting visitors to slow down. Contrary to the hectic everyday life of the town hall, the installation wants to decelerate. Sound currents and drones wander through the library, escaping logical constructs. Ultrablack Takeover escapes capitalist rhythms. UT is a sound installation without beats. UT is a black hole full of sounds, overflowing against the clocked administrative apparatus, the library order, music styles, and becomes pure abstract sound in a stream that renounces any form.
